This is a small collection of new photographs from our January shoot with my brother, Stelios, at the National School of Dance, in Athens.
A portrait of Matty, one of the beautiful kids I met while shooting with Julie in London.
This photograph of my beloved brother, Stelios, was taken in late January in Athens, when we filmed one of his contemporary pieces at the National School of Dance. The final video should be following within the next few months of spring. He is so graceful.
As I had written earlier in the blog, in the beginnings of March, I was in London working on a very exciting project with Julie Verhoeven for Stedelijk Museum ’s- Hertogenbosch. In May, when Julie’s exhibition opens there, I will be able to share with you the final outcomes of our latest collaboration, but for now, I am posting here a selection of photographs I made while working with her in her colourful studio in South London. This is our process, the preparation and excitement that we put in- it’s the rainbows inside this room, her imaginary details, the references, roots and blossoms of her vision.
Julie’s storyboards are just so inspiring. That’s one of my favourite bits -the fabric body-, soon to be revealed in motion!
One of the best exhibitions I have ever seen. Immersed in light– it’s just a wonderful feeling. For more information on the show click here.
I will be in London for the next ten days, working on a very exciting project with the wonderful Julie Verhoeven for the Stedelijk Museum in the Netherlands. I hope I will soon be able to share more of the process here, but in the meantime, here is a picture of New York at night, as we were taking off to reach the other side of the Atlantic.
I’ve just finalised the editing of the photographs from my recent shoot with Leon in London and these are some images from that day that I can share in advance, featuring stylist Chelsey Clarke, MUA Amrit Preet, and studio Wilson, amongst Leon and myself. Small but sweet team, thank you all.
