Julie’s new exhibition “Your Fly is Open” opens this Saturday, the 25th of May, at Stedelijk Museum s-Hertogenbosch and it’s going to be pretty rad. We also have a film trilogy there, projected upon 3 peripheral walls, which is super exciting too!

I can’t say much yet, but lately I have been working on the art direction of a very exciting newborn project. The diptych above, which stands out from the very initial moodboards that I am preparing at the moment, is only a little hint!
We have begun planning this summer’s photographic roadtrip in Greece- during the first part of it, we will jump on and off a bunch of Cyclades islands during late July and early August, and then, for the second half of August, we will drive north through the mainland up until we reach Corfu.
So, the question is this; who’s interested in joining us? Or who is willing to invite us to come find you? The crew is a crazy combination of beautiful,creative people up to now, but I would love to have more friends with us, to spice up the rhythm of the journey as we travel across our beloved land. We plan to see dawns and dusks by the blue seas and take photographs until midnight. Let me know- I just can’t wait !

Here is the all new Ryan McGinley Purple Book, a special edition that documents and shares the process of his cross-country trips of the last decade. I think it’s very sentimental.

Looking through my archives, I find photographs I had taken quite a few years ago, and had since kind of forgotten. This particular one is of my brother, shot one summer day of 2009, in Greece. We were out by the sea, shooting a project together on the sand, and I remember that we ended up running in the woods and back to the water, capturing moments all the way through. That’s my favourite from that day – it has always been.
Let me introduce you to MAUVESTEAK, a new collaborative project for which I will reveal more this fall ! Stay tuned, it’s thriving of visual treasures, avant-garde art, and the best of fashion that’s shaped 20th century. It’s going to be wild.
