Vast blue haze, the water of Atlantic ocean and rainbow umbrellas- here are just a few of my impressions from a day at the beach, an hour drive from the city. A different kind of sea from what I know, but exhilarating always.

Ryan McGinley Studios- The Polaroid Memories (pt.2)
First comes stardust, on a roof at Mott Street, after climbing up to the top of the terrace to make Marc’s vision true with glitter. Then, it’s a trampoline dream, frozen in time, on display for people to feel it anonymously. Second is the map of North America, and marked are the roads to be travelled. Oh, and the hand of Ryan next to the hand of another mentor, Terrence Malick. Third is my joy, with Strange syncing with us and Dexter. What would it all be if not for making us kinder humans? A gratitude note on the walls we see, every single day.

Samantha II
A very first film still from my new film with Samantha.
It makes my heart melt.
Samantha
Samantha’s grace, ease and charm best personify what I feel are the feminine qualities I am drawn into- the essence of poetic, strong women. I am currently editing a short film we did together- all of it is black and white, grainy, with the andante piano of Shostakovich.
I drew inspiration from this film by Arber Sefa, whose pace is stunning. I also had this gem in mind, but we were missing the white parrot.

Life Adjustment Center, Inc. is family, happiness, wilderness, love.
Next is, Frank, Strange and moi, laughing at Marc who jumps around with the cat’s toy and the camera to take our picture.
More to follow !
A sunrise by the river
A photograph from my new body of work. It’s from the day I filmed Ryan’s ‘Blue Falling’ billboard going up on the Highline- looking at the sun that’s coming up to light the city, at 5.45am by the Hudson.
Oh, and a bit of my handwriting too.
Sunkissed
This photograph of Emma is part of my new body of work. The images I am currently working on feel as if they are bringing together all the things I carry within me from growing up in the brightness of Greece and the things I learn from working in this Life Adjustment Center that NYC and Ryan’s studio is for me. It’s been a first circle, a personal wild ride, and hopefully that’s just the beginning. I want to show you. I will, soon.
Spring has sprung!
Cherry blossoms everywhere- I feel so content. Brooklyn, April 2013.
