SHOWstudio: Velvet – Roger Dubuis Uncut Footage

SHOWstudio has published the uncut footage of the Velvet shoot for Roger Dubuis, featuring Daphne Guinness. As I had posted in the blog earlier this winter, I had done the editing of the fashion film that showcases the process and in order to prepare that one, I had also polished this one. It’s 9 hours long and I guess it applies more to the demand of dedicated photographers and creatives alike, but I find it really interesting to see the whole shoot revealed. Sometimes it can be pure magic.

Screening updates

Chloe

I’ve just found out that our video collaboration with Julie Verhoeven for Melissa was screened at London Fashion Week, and our video for Chloe was part of the film program of the British Fashion Council last week, curated by Kathryn Ferguson. That’s nice news!

‘Velvet’ project launch at SHOWstudio

Velvet

SHOWstudio just launched ‘Velvet‘, a stunning series of images that celebrates Swiss watchmaker Roger Dubuis, featuring Daphne Guinness. Check out the editorial gallery by Nick Knight as well as the process film that Marie Schuller and I edited for the project earlier this year. It’s pretty amazing and I am very happy to see it going public with such a comprehensive presentation.

Coming up: Dark Love of a Wild Generation

Tomorrow we will be releasing the film documentary of Nikos Erinakis und die Haken, that hopes to stand as a visual poem on the wild world that they create through music and words. It is called “Dark love of a Wild Generation” and it is almost an hour long- the longest film I ‘ve created yet.

Meanwhile, above you can see the first part that we had published earlier this year- a short one that follows them on their preparations of their studio recordings in Athens, GR. I hope you enjoy it -more tomorrow.
